Kids will have a blast at Royal Caribbean’s complimentary, award-winning Adventure Ocean® Youth Program. Every member of the youth team holds a four-year degree in education, recreation or a related field and has extensive experience working with children. The program breaks kids and teens out into age groups so that they can enjoy specialized programs made to expand their imaginations in interactive, multi-room spaces designed just for them. It’s an awesomely fun, totally edu-taining adventure.
For the Whole Family
Parent Time. Kid Time. And Time Together.
Sure, the youth program is award-winning, the teen hang-outs are awesome, and Mom is going to be thrilled by the amenities at the spa. But even with special experiences catering to each family member, there's still plenty for the whole family to enjoy together.
Family events and activities:
No doubt about it – these ships are built for families. Get together for festivals, poolside games, physical challenges, karaoke nights, theme nights and more.
Adventurous activities:
Year after year, Royal Caribbean has changed the cruise industry by unveiling new, complimentary features like the FlowRider® surf simulator, rock-climbing wall, ice-skating rink, carousels, zip lines, and more incredible innovations – included in the price of your cruise.
Shows:
Miles from the mainland, marvel at dancing, singing, costuming and special effects of original stage productions, aerial shows, the whimsical black-light magic of Imagine Ocean! puppet show and more.
My Family Time Dining®:
My Family Time Dining is offered for the first seating time in the main dining room, for children ages three to 11. Kids enjoy their meal within 40 minutes of seating, before heading to the evening's Adventure Ocean activities. The program starts the second evening you're onboard. After that, you can use it each evening or whenever you wish.
Babies and Tots (6 to 36 months)
The Royal Babies & Tots Nursery is a colorful place staffed with trained professionals who oversee specially designed programs for daytime and evening drop-off. This means moms and dads can leave their little ones with skilled caregivers and enjoy a relaxing spa day or dinner at a specialty restaurant alone. Interactive playgroup sessions are also offered, and can include parents. (Please note: on select ships only; fees may apply.)
If you need a hand preparing to cruise with your baby, you can pre-order diapers, wipes and baby food to your stateroom before you set sail. There are also diapers for sale in the shops as another backup, so we’ve got you covered.
Aquanauts, Explorers and Voyagers (3 to 11 years)
Royal Caribbean offers a long lineup of sure-to-please activities for its younger guests. Each of these three age groups has their own dedicated activity space with events and experiences tailored to them:
Teens (12-17 years)
Teens, meanwhile, flourish in an open format, so these “almost adults” enjoy a vacation customized to their interests. They are grouped by ages 12 to 14, and 15 to 17, and can opt for pre-planned activities—like rock-climbing competitions, organized dances and movie nights—or they can choose to hang out in their own personal spaces, such as the teen lounge or teen-only nightclub – mock-tails included.
If your teen is in need of a little relaxation, there’s a spa program just for them. The YSpa menu features a variety of pampering services like the Sole Mate pedicure, Beach Babe deep conditioning treatment, and more.
Late hours
Kids and teens can enjoy activities into the late evening with extended hours in the Adventure Ocean and teen-only spaces. An hourly rate applies after 10:00 p.m.
After Dark Fun for Kids on Royal Caribbean:
After a special family dinner, what better way for kids on Royal Caribbean ships to spend the night than partying with new friends at the Late Night Party Zone!
Video Arcade
Blips, bleeps, clangs and cheers. Play to win in a classic arcade atmosphere with timeless games like Pacman and table hockey, plus the latest – Guitar Hero, Fast and Furious Drift and more.
Pool & Sports Deck
Get active! Make a splash in the H2O Zone water park, or race to the top of the rock wall, conquer a table tennis tournament, play a round on the mini-golf course, and try basketball, the FlowRider® surf simulator, and ice skating. Features vary by ship – check out your ship's page for activities offered.
Cigarette, cigar, e-cigarette and pipe smoking is permitted in designated outdoor areas of the starboard side of all ships; with the exception of Oasis-class ships that will allow smoking on the port side of the ships. To assist in locating areas where smoking is permitted, guests will find visible signage posted within all smoking areas and ashtrays that are provided for use. Outdoor areas near restricted areas, food venues, and kids play areas and pools will not allow smoking. On Oasis class, smoking is not permitted in Central Park or the Boardwalk neighborhoods.
Casino Royale allows smoking and has a designated area for non-smoking guests. There will be visible signage indicating the non-smoking area in the casino. There are select cruises departing from China that will not have a non-smoking area in the casino.
Onboard all interior public spaces are smoke free. Smoking is not permitted in any dining venue, theater, bar, lounge, hallway, elevator, and jogging track.
Smoking is not permitted inside any stateroom and any stateroom balcony. This applies to all stateroom categories onboard. If a guest is in violation of this stateroom policy, a cleaning fee of $250 USD will be applied to their SeaPass® account and may be subject to further action pursuant to the "Consequences Section" of the Guest Conduct Policy.
Electronic cigarettes or e-cigarettes are only permitted within the designated smoking areas.
