Crystal Guest Protection Program

You may purchase Crystal’s Guest Protection Program administered by Allianz (which provides cancellation coverage, medical coverage and protection against lost or stolen or damaged luggage). Coverage takes effect the day Allianz receives payment for the plan, normally at time which cancellation fees begin, or at final payment when inside of the cancellation fee schedule. The Guest Protection Program is available up to final payment for your cruise. However, the plan must be added to the booking and paid for no later than the time of final payment to waive the pre-existing medical condition exclusion.

Pre-existing Medical Condition Exclusion Waiver
A pre-existing medical condition is an injury, illness or medical condition that exhibited symptoms or was treated on, or within the 120 days prior to, the purchase date of your plan. Your plan includes a waiver of the exclusion for pre-existing medical conditions if you meet the requirements listed in your plan (See Plan Details below); otherwise, the exclusion for pre-existing medical conditions will apply. Maximum coverage for pre-existing medical conditions is limited to the trip cancellation or trip interruption coverage limit (as applicable), not to exceed $50,000.

Since your satisfaction is our priority, we are pleased to provide you 15 days (or more, depending on your state of residence) to review your plan. If, during this period, you are not completely satisfied for any reason, you may cancel your plan and receive a full refund of the plan price. After this period, the plan price is nonrefundable.

Please note, no refund is available if the trip has started, a claim has been filed, or the policy has ended.

Crystal Payments & Refunds

To reserve your cabin and lock in the final price, you will be required to place a deposit on your cruise. After you have placed a deposit to secure your reservation, you will be asked to pay the remaining balance of your fare at the final payment due date.

Cancellation and Refunds

Penalties may apply if you cancel or change your reservation. Penalties can be up to 100% of the amount paid, and deposits are often non-refundable. We recommend purchasing insurance to protect against covered unexpected events. Please check with your My Cruise Fare counselor for cancellation and refund policies for Crystal cruises.

Dining with Crystal is truly an elegant experience. Whether enjoying the sweeping ocean views and magnificent ambiance in one of the traditional dining rooms, a costumed afternoon tea or midnight buffet in the atrium or poolside hamburgers and ice cream, you are sure to savor every pampered and delicious moment!

Main Dining Room Policies: Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity offer open seating at the main dining room, Waterside. Open seating allows guests to dine at their leisure for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Guests may enjoy dinner at any time they choose from 6 pm until closing at 9:30 pm (opening times subject to change). Reservations are not currently required or accepted.

Dress Code: There are two types of preferred evening dress codes: Evening Resort and Formal. After 6 pm, we ask that guests adopt the more refined Evening Resort dress code. For women this includes dresses, skirts, pants, blouses or sweaters, dark-wash jeans with no rips or tailored dress shorts. For men, this includes collared polo shirts, sweaters or smart designer sweatshirts, dark-wash jeans with no rips (only when accompanied with a jacket), chinos, sports jacket or blazer (optional) or tailored shorts (these may only be worn in the Tastes restaurant). Please avoid flip-flops/sliders, swimwear, and hats.

On sailings over seven days, there will be at least one optional ship-wide formal night (depending on the length of the segment), which will require more formal cocktail chic attire. These special events will be defined in your personal pre-sailing guide. Suggestions for a Formal Evening look: cocktail dresses or gowns, suits, evening skirts or pants with an elegant top and evening shoes for women. Suits or tuxedos, shirts, dress shoes and ties (optional) for men.

Beverage Policy: All non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages are free of charge.

Special Requests: In most cases, we can accommodate special requirements. Please provide details about any allergies or food requirements to your travel advisor prior to your cruise departure.

All dining rooms onboard Crystal ships are smoke-free.

The Crystal Serenity and the Crystal Symphony feature a fully supervised Junior Activities program for kids between the ages of 3 and 17 on Holiday voyages and nearly all summer sailings, each with dedicated play areas for both young kids and teens. Children are supervised during their activities with the Junior Activities Directors, and children with parents’ permission are free to come and go as they please. The Junior Activities program is not intended to be utilized as a babysitting service or daycare facility. Children under the age of the 3 must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.
Please Note: There must be at least 10 children on board for a youth staff member to be present. Supervised Youth Program is offered only on select sailings, ask your agent for details. 

FACILITIES
Fantasia welcomes children ages 3-12, with games, crafts, popular Sony PlayStation® and Xbox 360™ kiosks and large-screen televisions, board games and personal computers with entertainment and education. A video arcade at Waves keeps teens ages 13-17 entertained as well. The Library offers a selection of children's books and videos for in-room viewing; children can also see recently released films in The Hollywood Theatre.

At Crystal, we recognize that some of our guests smoke and others do not. While most areas of the ship are non-smoking, there will be designated smoking areas throughout. Please note that pipe and cigar smoking is only allowed in the Connoisseurs Club and all suites/guest rooms are non-smoking, including on the verandas.
